Melissa & Amy's Jewel-Toned Wedding at Cannery

Jewel tones and early October - can you think of any better pairing? Oh, wait... we can! That would be our brides, Amy and Melissa.

When asked about their wedding vision, the couple knew they didn't want anything crazy. "We chose a venue that didn't need much extra which was so nice. We really just wanted to create a space where people could have fun and enjoy themselves as who they are and not worry about presenting themselves in any type of way because it was a wedding. We wanted everyone to be their most authentic selves and I truly feel that we had that."

The theme of being authentic carried through to the brides' attire choices. For Melissa, she chose a dress she loved due to its simplicity that also had a slight sexy side to it with a triangle cut out. But what sold her on her gorgeous gown? Well, it had POCKETS, of course!

As for Amy, she found her outfit (or as she affectionately called her "costume") inspiration in a magazine! She saw a bride wearing something similar and knew she wanted something along those same lines. Something different, fun and still feminine and sexy. She ended up finding the perfect black wash/tartan navy/emerald green plaid suit and an incredible blouse with a silk tie neck. Oh, and the shoes. Instagram got her with an ad one day and they were perfect!

Their favorite part of the wedding day? The first look. After seeing these photos, we have to lovingly agree! Amy could not contain her emotions seeing Melissa for the first time on their wedding day, and we cannot contain our emotions revisiting such a special moment!

Another hit at the wedding? The favors! Amy is a chef so the couple chose to do one of her famous hot sauces as a gift to their guests. They even had guests asking for more! With one of the brides being a chef, you know the food really had to deliver. For their cake, they opted for a simple 3 layer slightly naked cake with some greenery. Each layer was a different flavor with different flavored frosting as well. It was exactly what the couple wanted.

We truly love when couples are authentic in planning their wedding, and we were so lucky to have played a part in Melissa's and Amy's special day!
